Tufbag – South Africa is one of the largest manufacturers of woven polypropylene products in Africa.

The company started commercial production in June 1979 and has since expanded to an annual production capacity in excess of 2,5 million bulk bags, 4,0 million PE FIBC Liners and 1,3 million under ground support bags.

Tufbag are an ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturer, with strong values based on quality products.

Since its inception, the market for various types of polypropylene sacks and bulk bags has increased considerably, prompting Tufbag to expand to meet the growth in various market sectors.

Tufbag produces a wide range of woven polypropylene products that include:

  • Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers (FIBC) also known as Bulk bags.
  • Polyethylene bags – FIBC liners, sheeting, bags on a roll.
  • Container liners
  • Dunnage Bags
  • Underground mine support systems.

Tufbag produce their products using state-of-the-art European woven polypropylene technology available.

Polypropylene bulk bags, polyethylene liners, container liners and dunnage bags are currently used for the packaging of most of the region’s commodities including cement, sugar, salt, fertilisers, minerals, polymers and chemicals.

Tufbag has used its strong product quality, production capabilities, service delivery, skilled labour and market knowledge to take advantage of the growth in market opportunities. This has led to it becoming the leading manufacturer and supplier of polypropylene bulk bags in the region.
